Hospice Northwest office is closed to the public due to COVID-19 but services are still being offered.

What is Palliative Care

Palliative care is specialized care that focuses on improving quality of life for families and patients who are facing a life-limiting illness. This type of care is recommended when there is no possible cure, so that patients can experience a better quality of life up until the very end of their life.

Palliative care doesn’t end when a family member or loved one dies. Hospice Northwest is here to support you and your family. We provide continuing support as you grieve the loss of a loved one, by offering bereavement programs in combination with palliative care.

Many fear that death will come sooner if a patient receives palliative care. This isn’t the case. Palliative care often improves the quality of a patient’s life.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, you may benefit from our palliative care services.
