Our hospice volunteers are the heart of Hospice Northwest. We are proud to have over 200 palliative care companions in Thunder Bay and the region. Hospice volunteers come from different backgrounds, and many have experienced their own loss.
Our volunteers share a common goal: they want to make a difference and give back to their community by offering their time and support to our clients during their end-of-life journey.
Some of our volunteers have shared their heart-warming stories in an inspiring book called Life’s Way. This book will give you an inside look on how our hospice volunteers provide a much-needed human connection to our clients and their family members.
