How do I register for the Hike for Hospice?

Who should I contact if I am having trouble with the online registration/donation form?

If you are having difficulty making a donation or registering for a team, please call Kathleen at (807) 626-5573.

Is there a minimum required donation/pledge amount to participate?

While the suggested donation/pledge amount to participate is $40, we welcome ALL participants to come hike with us! Above all else, this event is a memorial walk meant to raise awareness for hospice palliative care and the importance of being a compassionate community whose members support people who are dying, grieving, and/or caregiving. All we ask is that you donate what you can.

I'm hiking in memory of a loved one, is there a way to honour them?

Yes! If you would like to display a photo of a loved one in our video montage to be played Sunday morning prior to the hike, please email us the photo before May 16th. Emails can be sent to hike@hospicenorthwest.ca You will also receive a memorial ribbon that you can personalize with your loved ones name and tie to the Butterfly Memorial Wall and a beautiful flower that you can use in our flower release ceremony.

Do I need to pick up a registration kit this year?

No, this year we are simplifying the Hike to reduce our environmental footprint. We are not handing out registration kits but we will have our memorial ribbons, flowers and bibs available at Boulevard Lake park start line for you to pick up on the day of the event. If you plan to walk virtually, you can drop by our office at 63 Carrie St. on Friday May 23rd from noon to 8 pm to pick up your ribbon, flower and bib in advance of the Hike. 50/50 tickets will be available for purchase at the office as well. Any cash pledges/donations can be dropped off during that time as well.

If I signed up as an individual hiker but then decide to join a team, what do I do?

Please give us a call at 807-626-5573 and we will move your registration from Individual to Team and assign you to the team you wish to join.
